Sefton Wiggs began his yoga journey after the age of 60 and after a few years decided it was time to up his game and turned to teaching this new passion of his. One of his early teachers recommended the Wilmington Yoga Center. There Sefton found immersing himself into the studio’s Kunga teacher training was what he needed to find the path to a satisfying yoga experience. Kunga is a Rwandan word meaning “to serve or help” The core values of Kunga include cruelty free living and non-violent communication. Sefton’s principal teachers at Wilmington Yoga were Jamie Annette and Allison Dapper. Jamie continues to be a mentor. In addition to completing the 200 teacher training Sefton has taken workshops in “hands on assists with Noelle Whittington, Yin Yoga training with Sesa O’Connor, and Yoga for Aging and Injury with Jamie Annette. He has also taken yoga workshops on caring for the spine, shoulders, and knees. Sefton strives to give his students the care and nurture they deserve in a yoga class that honors the traditions and will help students achieve the goal of improved health and mobility.
